DANNA CAMPBELL was only thirteen when she had her first singing debut in a nightclub. Her aunt knew a club owner of a military base bar and after relentless begging for a shot to sing, she was able to sneak in just long enough to jump on the stage and sing a Carpenter's song. As time passed, she was getting vocally stronger and more convinced that show business was the business for her. She went on to study music and dance at Colorado University and eventually moved to LA after winning a professional dance competition in Las Vegas, where producers of the TV show STAR SEARCH invited her to compete on the show. Dancing in LA opened up a wide range of career opportunities, including backup dancing for artists in videos for MTV, and backup singing for local LA recording artists. DANNA began to shine.
She began her professional music career with her first top 40 cover band in 1985 with THE LATEST RAGE (aka Capital Recording Artists, SILENT RAGE). She played the LA clubs five nights a week until teaming up with members of the BUS BOYS (Arista Recording Artists), to create her own driving original rock band, D'LYNNE (Danna Lynne), which featured lead guitarist , Victor Johnson (Sammy Hagar) on recordings. She performed in some of the hottest spots on LA's SUNSET STRIP, including THE ROXY, TROUBADOR, CHINA CLUB, & THE WHISKEY GO GO, where she opened up for THE KNACK in 1987. With a fierce competitive edge, DANNA spent her time in the recording studio and on the stage, sharing company with other female recording artists (SHE-ROCK, FEMME FATALE, VIXEN) to make an impression in the LA 80's music scene.
DANNA has been inspired by all types of music, but her passion for the ROCK music holds strong. She is inspired by the passion and the music of Janis Joplin, Ann Wilson (Heart), Paul Rodgers (Bad Company), Robert Plant (Zeppelin) and inspired by today's artists like PINK and Gwen Stefani (No Doubt).
DANNA took a long break from the music business to pursue other opportunities that life had for her. Realizing that no matter what career dream she pursued, there was always an empty space where the music used to be. So after her husband convinced her that she should never give up her passion for her art (and that she's never TOO old), she decided to jump back in, guest singing for local Denver bands, (PULSE, PLAYBACK, ZANA, MIDNIGHT ROCKERS). It was then she met with ANDY SEWALD, with whom she shares a great friendship, on-stage chemistry, and a common love for the top rock hits of the past. This dynamic duo then brought guitar player extraordinaire, KYM LEWIN, Johnny Lee Wilson (Bass), and drummer, TOMAS (yes, just first names please!) for an awesome line-up in the new DannaRocks! At 50, this soulful, passionate singer never stops ROCKIN'!!

ANDY SEWALD at the age of 10, spent hours examining the art work and admiring the tracks of Elton John's 1974 Yellow Brick Road. From that point forward, music meant more to him than just noise. That year, Andy joined the school concert band playing snare drum and trumpet. In 1976, KISS ALIVE came out and Andy became an obsessed KISS fan, staging KISS concerts in his basement, which included tennis raquets, hockey sticks as guitars, colored lights, and smoke bombs .... thought he was a real rock star!
Fast forward to 1984. Andy had been a basement drummer since the mid 70's, but started to notice a different kind of music being played on the radio...notable bands like Night Ranger, Quiet Riot, Dokken, REO Speedwagon, Ozzy, and Van Halen. Because of these great band influences, Andy gained a real interest in the guitar. He gave his drums to his little brother and purchased an Aria Pro "Night Warrior" guitar and began learning by ear, anything that sounded cool.
By 1985, Andy got his first Gibson Les Paul and hammered away at anything that sparked his interest. He got "out of the basement" and joined his first gigging band called 4PLAY. He then started a band of his own with his brother called JAMES SHOT, taking on the lead vocalist spot as well. After practicing for 3 months, going through 3 bass players, and playing 3 shows, they broke up. He got back with 4PLAY, but this time as the bassist/lead vocalist and stayed for 3 more years. From 2003, Andy would take on 2 more cover bands, SIEGE and DOA, where he gained a wide variety of mad guitar and vocal skills. Andy has now found his place in DannaRocks, where he takes on the leadership role in music direction, guitar (rythm & lead), keyboards, and vocals.

KYM LEWIN was age 14 when he first heard Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath on a Juke Box while playing pool. The sound of the guitars mezmerized him and he knew there and then that he was going to play like that someday! Over 30 years, Kym has played in many bands, too many to name, original and cover. He has toured the western US several times as well as working in the studio on recordings with many artists. Kym plays many genres of music, including Rock, Metal, Blues, Reggae, Pop, and even Jazz.
Kym is known for his energy on stage and his ability to bring the Rock to an audience. He loves nothing more than to "Rock and Roll all night". After all the years of loving what he loves to do, Kym's motto is "it's still a lifestyle and a priviledge to be able to play Rock and Roll. And...even more so with the great band mates I have in DannaRocks!" He has a great carefree and fun energy that everyone loves. He has great passion for the music and the performance. DannaRocks is very excited to have this guy on board.

DON PENNINGTON is a Colorado native that got the music bug at age 10 when he was invited to be a "guest conductor" at the former Denver Symphony Orchestra. Standing on the stage of that packed auditorium, sealed the deal for this kid. His folks got him his first electric guitar at 11 and he hasn't looked back since. Though he started on guitar, Don took on the bass in his first band and recorded a single in which he got to travel throughout the mid-west in a school bus conversion. Decadent living to be sure! Over the years, Don has been in original rock bands, (UNI and Losing Juliet) and cover bands from Denver to Houston and back. Don is a live performance kind of guy. He loves the musicianship, chemistry, and the energy of DANNAROCKS. "This is what keeps me young! I am fortunate to play with a first class group of musicians! Some guys go bowling, some guys play golf or poker with their buddies. I play Rock & Roll in DANNAROCKS and I'm enjoying this!"

TOMAS was self taught on the drums at the young age of 10. He took a great interest in music and learned to play drums by listening to music in his mom's car and watching the bands on American Bandstand, (in which he eventually figured out that it was some really good lip syncing!).
Tomas had a diverse family background that exposed and influenced him to music from nearly every genre: Funk, Rock, Metal, Jazz-Fusion, Latin Rock, Latin Jazz, Pop, and Disco. Tomas's most influential artists were Elton John's Goodbye Yellow Brick Road Album, Santana, Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, Rush, Earth, Wind, & Fire, David Garibaldi, Billy Cobham, Jeff Porcaro, Dave Weckl, Dennis Chambers, Graham Lear, JR Robinson, Nick Menza, and Vinnie Paul.
Tomas now joins DannaRocks and brings his rock solid drumming to the line-up. He is always striving for perfect timing and prides himself on learning and playing songs in the truest and most authentic sound of the original artists and recording. He brings great energy to DannaRocks with his karisma and humor as well.
